Razer Naga MMO gaming mouse
Designed for massively multiplayer online (MMO) games, this mouse leaves the gamer’s typically idle thumb with plenty to do – with 12 fully customizable buttons arranged in a grid format, accessible by the thumb.

Having all that power is great but you have to learn how to wield it.

Mastering the 12 buttons requires serious training and probably big hands too.

With my small hands, my attempt to press the buttons on the lowest part of the grid forced my index and middle fingers to slip away from the main mouse buttons, causing occasional slip-ups during intense battles. So, it is best to map the most important actions to the most accessible buttons for your thumb.

There are 17 buttons in total, all of which can be programmed using the Razer Naga configurator software. What was impressive is how easily it was to programmable the macros. Just hit ‘record’, perform the mouse actions, save the macro and map it on the button that you want to execute the action with.

Even the delays are customizable and timings of the actions are faithfully copied, allowing for complex actions to be bound to a button.

With its satin finish and LED-lit scroll wheel, this is one sexy mouse. It was comfortable to use too. I like its smooth glide feet, lightweight body and interchangeable side panels that cater to different hand sizes.

Another nice touch is the inclusion of both wireless and wired modes. With the latter, it means you can charge your mouse while using it so there is no risk of the battery running out during the game.

One drawback is its design for right handers only.

You can also download add-ons for popular MMO games like World Of Warcraft and Warhammer Online, which allows you to further tweak your mouse.

Besides MMO games, the mouse is also great for games which require a wide variety of commands to be executed rapidly, like strategy and role-playing games.
