Sony’s PS3 is the only game console that reads the Blu-ray disc format,
so it effectively doubles up as a Blu-ray disc player – which is good news for movie buffs. It has built-in Wi-Fi to connect to your home network and the Internet.
The current slim PS3 comes in variations in terms of the hard drive capacity, like the 120GB and the 320GB models.
Sony recently launched the PlayStation Move controller system, which is touted to be more accurate than the Nintendo Wiimote for motion gaming. The basic set-up for Move is a camera and a one-handed controller combo, which allows you to swing and bat your way to victory.
You can grab the PlayStation Move Starter Bundle, which bundles the PlayStation Eye camera and the PlayStation Move Motion Controller, together with a disc containing game demos.

There is also the PlayStation Move navigation controller, an optional peripheral partner for the Move. It is a one-handed replacement for the standard PS3 controller.
Besides new games such as Sports Champion or SingStar Dance Party Pack designed for the Move, you can also play existing titles such as Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 or Resident Evil5: Gold Edition, or new Move-compatible versions of older games like Heavy Rain.
Like the Xbox 360, the PS3 gets plenty of cross-platform titles like the Call of Duty: Black Ops and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
There are also games that are exclusively released for the PS3, such as the God Of War III action adventure and the Gran Turismo 5 racing simulator.
Penny pinchers will be pleased to know that the PlayStation Network (PSN) allows you to play online for free.

At least fifteen games are lined up to be available at launch. Because this new system is coming out just before the vacation season, and if you've got any interest at all, my advice is to buy it immediately.
