The new Xbox360 is arguably on par with the PlayStation3 in terms of features and design. It has a slender profile, touch-sensitive buttons, a 250GB hard drive and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
One of the star features is the Xbox Live network, which offers online multiplayer gaming, as well as games and downloadable content for sale.
The slim Xbox 360 also has a dedicated port to connect to the upcoming Kinect gadget.

The Kinect (above), which is due out in November, is an optional device which cleverly hides a depth sensor, video camera and microphone.
It will track your body movements and translate them into in-game responses, such as driving a car or swinging a tennis racket.
You are, as Microsoft trumpets, the one and only controller – no other peripheral is needed to play games or operate the console.
The Kinect will also recognise your face and voice, paving the way for more interesting ways to interact with future games.
The Kinect comes bundled with the Kinect Adventures title that contains 20 mini-games.
