For anyone looking for an alternative to an expensive Microsoft brand cable, this one does the job. There is only one fault and I gave it 5 stars still because it is not the cable’s fault. The one fault is that the Xbox 360 will restart if the input is changed or not already set before the Xbox 360 turns on. I believe this is just because the Xbox 360 sets the outputs automatically on startup ect. Otherwise this cable did exactly what I wanted at a fourth of the price.
This is a great hdmi hook up thing, I’m not one to judge how good quality something is when it comes to hd, because it all looks great compared to normal. But the quality seems really vibrant, sharp and clear, and does look great on my tiny HD TV.
Now the sound is just great with this because of the sound dongle. Almost too good, I’ve got to turn it a bit down when I’m using my Xbox 360 after switching through with my old ps2. But if loud is your thing then it’s all good. But of course it’s optional to use it, it’s separate from the hdmi cable, so you can choose to not use it. I’m pretty sure, I haven’t used it without the dongle yet. (I probably should go find out right?)
I’m also not good with judging sound quality, but it does seem like it’s much more clear as well.
I think it’s a very necessary addition you’ve got to have with a 360 or an HD TV. The price is really great too.

Way cheaper than the official equipment sold by microsoft and probably identical to what you would get. Digital sound and digital audio out of your 360!
The two items included in this package (HDMI+Audio adapter) work flawlessly, as advertised. The HDMI cable is High Speed which makes it perfect for the 360, and the optical output works great, 5.1 Dolby Digital can be send through an optical cable, and you still get sound from the HDMI connection, so no need to choose between the tv or the headsets (i use the optical output for my trittons). Great quality, even better price, fast shipping was icing on the cake for this must buy accessories.
Considering i paid much less then the name brand version, and it works like it should. i say it’s worth the money. shipped fast too
