So until this game is made available for ALL platforms, I think it stinks. Or more like, Microsoft stinks. The one star is for them for not making this game available on a broader range of gaming platforms.
This is one of the worst game’s ever made. Boring gameplay, a nonsensical premise, boring gameplay, and that’s pretty much all this game consist of. This is how to NOT make a videogame. This game was created by SEGA, one of the worst developers in gaming history.

Best way to put it is… X-Files meets Lost television show except you’re in it.
Everything about this game is beautiful! it’s kind of like scenic “creepy” walk to the dark forest. However, this game really sucked on gameplay. The enemies of this game resembles dumb zombies in Resident Evil. Still, this game definitely shines in Story, Character’s Voice, Music, and beautiful landscape. Once you start playing, it’s hard to quit. Not because of the gameplay but for beautiful landscape, and awesome cast of character’s voice. So, if you’re looking for slow but very scenic game then this is the perfect game!
If you’ve played any of the original Silent Hill games (except The Room) then you’ve played Alan Wake already…the plot is too similar; some one tries to get away from the city in order to recharge themeselves and get back to the everday rat race. Something happens when they get there and now they spend time in a nightmarish world with weird people fighting off supernatural forces that may be real or in your head…I’m not gonna ruin the ending for you. If you’ve played Silent Hill or a fan of it, then Alan Wake will do if for you…

Let me start by saying few games will match the Graphics of Alan wake, WOW! The Story isn’t so bad either, but it all gets thrown under the bus with annoying cheap combat and doing and picking up the same thing all game long.
It about 98% running in maze in the dark with AI spawning out of the ground with unlimited axes, you must shine your flashlight on them and then shoot them, while you are doing this you are constantly ( I mean like every 2 shots), you are reloading your boring pistol and putting batteries in your flashlight, sound fun,,? This scenario played out after every cut scene. Feels like nothing more than Wack-a-mole. The bodies of course disappear, no blood, just cartoons stuff…and the same bad 1 type of bad AI the whole game..:(
It just got monotonous, doing the same thing over and over and the only thing you pick up is more ammo and flashlight batteries..Whooptido,,
The other thing that disappointed me was this constant delay in the actions, you move control stick forward, it always seems to take a second , like you where in quick sand.
All if this ruined the repetitions game altogether and is a deal breaker, I do not recommend this for purchase! Rent it if you must.
So disappointing, repetitious and boring..Of all the games I played this year this one I was most disappointed by.
