Update is for every console…If you get the elite or pro the update is automatically going to be downloaded…If you get the arcade you need to get on xbox live to download it…..i have a arcade and it had the old dashboard when i got it for my birthday; i got on live an it let me download the new dashboard..I got a hard drive now…

@kamoman09 yea you can i had the old xbox 360 dash bord and i bought halo 3 odst and it said you can not play this game without updating and it gives you the choice of updating and now its like the new one i wasnt expecting it

ok first of all when u connect xbox live with the ethernet cable does it syas that ur connected or just got to xbox thing and test xbox live
so to get this dash board all i have to do is buy a regular xbox 360 or do i have to buy a special one
im new to xbox live and i have the old shit dashbord it tells me to update when i try to go into xbox live but it keeps saying update failed someone please help!!!!!
yea the services and stuff are cool yea but it aint cool when you system ither freezes up or does the redring of death almost 90% time and it aint cool when the system fails with ps3 the risk on your system failing is still there but very very very much lower risk
