Bought this to help the signal from my new x-box 360 hd-dvd player and x-box to my lcd tv made the signal worse,
I should have listened to the reviewer who said the colors suck. couldn’t even see a resolution difference, the only thing i think that is worthwhile is the price. if you haven’t shelled out on a hdtv television and want to use a computer monitor, this is the default way to go. not really worth playing the xbox in non hdtv resolution in my opinion and 720 is really good enough.
I plug this cable in the xbox and re-plug again and again in different inputs and the sound never appears !!!!
VGA is the best conection for de xbox 360, WHY? well is because the VGA have better colors and better grafics, you can use the xbox 360 on more than 720p is the best for gamen…

I ran out of room for all of my component cables and figured using the VGA connection for the 360 was an easy sollution. The xbox website states that the VGA cable supports all HDTV resolutions. I found out the hard way that is WRONG! I have an older HDTV that only supports 480i/p and 1080i. Once having this hooked up to my VGA connection and the system I was able to view the VGA settings. There is NO resolution choice for 1080i widescreen HD. Since my TV doesn’t support 720p or 1080p I was stuck with standard definition through this HD cable. Be warned if you have an older TV that supports a VGA connection but only 1080i! Back to the component cable I go and trying to find a good sysytem selector.
